What is the facility being built behind Costco next to the Healing Clinic?

The legal name is Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe dba Jamestown Salish Seasons, but it will be known publicly and internally as Jamestown Salish Seasons (JSS). This name reflects our commitment to culturally grounded healing and will appear on all signage and marketing materials.

An E&T is a secure, inpatient behavioral health facility licensed as a Residential Treatment Facility (RTF). These centers were originally designed to meet the requirements of Washington’s Involuntary Treatment Act (ITA) under RCW 71.05. They provide:

  • 24/7 crisis stabilization
  • Psychiatric evaluation and medication management
  • Short-term treatment for acute mental health conditions

Unlike many E&Ts, JSS will focus exclusively on voluntary treatment, offering a safe and supportive environment for individuals who choose to seek care.

Construction is expected to be completed by May 2026, with a target opening date of July 1, 2026. We are actively managing licensing and operational requirements to ensure a smooth launch.

CareersHiring is happening in phases:

  • Phase 1 (Q4 2025 – Q1 2026): Finalizing job descriptions and posting internally (over the next couple of months)
  • Phase 2 (Q1 2026-Q2 2026): External recruitment begins
  • Most staff will start approximately 1 month before opening
  • For the most recent updates on job opportunities, keep an eye on our Careers page!

We will be hiring for a full range of roles, including:

  • Registered Nurses (RNs)
  • Psychiatric providers
  • Licensed mental health professionals
  • Treatment assistants and shift supervisors
  • Administrative coordinators

All positions will be posted internally before external advertising.

JSS will operate 24/7/365. Most clinical staff will work a “fixed Panama” 12-hour shift schedule, which includes:

  • Roles are overtime eligible per policy
  • 2-2-3 pattern with 3 consecutive days off every other week This model is popular for maximizing both pay and time off.

JSS will serve adults (18+) experiencing acute behavioral health crises who voluntarily seek care. Services will be available to tribal and non-tribal individuals, regardless of insurance status. We will assist patients in navigating coverage options.

Tribes have a complicated history with forced, mandatory education in abusive settings. For this reason, Jamestown has concerns about being involved in involuntary treatment. After investigating involuntary treatment facilities and discovering low patient occupancy, combined with Jamestown’s traditional tribal beliefs in voluntary treatment, a voluntary E&T became more appropriate. The governor’s office has confirmed that they will support Jamestown’s voluntary E&T operation.

JSS will provide: Crisis stabilization

  • Psychiatric evaluation and medication management
  • Short-term therapeutic support
  • Discharge planning and care coordination

JSS is voluntary-only, meaning patients choose to be here and are active participants in their recovery. Our approach emphasizes dignity, autonomy, culturally responsive care and trauma-informed care.

Through design and practice. JSS will integrate Salish cultural principles into its design and programming, including:

  • Native art and symbolism
  • Opportunities for cultural practices and ceremonies
  • Staff training in tribal history, values, and cultural humility
  • Fills a critical gap in behavioral health services in Clallam County
  • Reduce ER and jail utilization for mental health crises
  • Create 40+ new healthcare jobs
  • Strengthens the Jamestown Healing Campus as a regional hub for integrated care

Yes. Prior to opening, we plan to host:

  • Open house tours
  • Community Q&A sessions
  • Provider orientation events

We will be releasing a promotional video soon to showcase our services and philosophy. For questions, feedback, or interest in collaboration, please contact:
